I was a medical tech in the mid 90s, when I bought a computer and a modem, stepped into the internet and immediately had to know how it was done. I bought the classic book “Learn HTML in 21 days”, set up a basic page, then another, then a fairly awful website (hovering .gif buttons!), and in the year 2000, got my first job in what was at the time, the wild west of the internet industry. I fell in love with CSS and was personally mentored by Charles Wyke Smith, my manager early on, and the author of the book “Stylin’ with CSS“. I would become a senior front-end dev for companies such as Kaiser Permanente, Bio-Rad, Allbusiness and more.
Over the years, I have been immersing myself in web analytics. My previous job I was given the reigns to create all properties for all company sites, create reports, and give analyses at the weekly management meetings. I’ve since learned Tableau in and out, have been Google Certified with GA-4, and am currently working on my Google Advanced Data Analytics Professional Certificate.
My approach to work is defined by a passion for excellence, a strong work ethic, and a relentless pursuit of getting things right the first time. I take initiative, thrive in fast-paced environments, and am adept at translating complex requirements into streamlined, functional, and visually appealing web solutions. I will bring a 23 year career and a solid work ethic to any company that is passionate about their product and users, and also their employees.
